Hot Spiced Cider Recipe - Chef-K

Hot Spiced Cider is perfect during the colder time of the year.

We had a family tradition of getting a jigsaw puzzle to put on a table and leisurely work on it during time off.  Each year as the kids matured, the puzzles got progressively challenging until now we peaked at about 1000 pieces.

It’s such a great way to spend time together, the only conversation necessary are phrases such as:
“Help me find a corner piece”, or “I’m working on the brown pieces” or “Pass me the box cover so I can see the photo”. Of course we’d often have in depth discussion too!

Even now, we still love to sip a cup of tea or hot spiced cider while working on our puzzle.  It is super easy to make a good cup of hot spiced apple cider.  You just need mulling spice and a good apple cider or even an apple juice is fine.  We prefer organic.

A note about mulling spice, you can keep the basic ingredients on hand or we sometimes use Williams-Sonoma Mulling Spice.
